The faculty offers innovative undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Business, Management & Accounting and Information Technology. Foundation in Business Studies (R/010/3/0070)

Our programme is designed with courses which are relevant and focused to the field of Business Studies/ Business Administration. Thereby, the students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for admission into bachelor programmes in Business Studies/Business Administration. This programme has attained full accreditation status by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in 2013. Entry Requirements

  1. SPM - Credit in 5 subjects;
  2. O Level - Pass GCE with minimum 5 C's; OR
  3. UEC - Pass with minimum 3 B's; OR
  4. Other equivalent qualifications which are recognised by the Malaysian Government

Diploma in Business Administration (R/345/4/0217)

This 2.5-year intensive programme seeks to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to perform important administrative functions within a business or an organization. The programme instils leadership qualities to enable our graduates to not just be a competent employee but to showcase self-initiative and leadership traits that would give them the edge. Entry Requirements

  1. Pass SPM/SPMV with 3 credits in any subject; OR
  2. Pass O-level with minimum Grade C in any 3 subject; OR
  3. Pass UEC with minimum Grade B in any 3 subject; OR
  4. Pass STPM or equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in any subject; OR
  5. Pass Certificate Level 3 (MQF) in a related field, with minimum of CGPA 2.00; OR
  6. Pass Community College Certificate Level 3 (MQF) in a related field and pass in SPM with a minimum of a credit in any subject; OR
  7. Pass STAM with a minimum Grade of Maqbul; OR
  8. Other equivalent qualifications which are recognised by the Malaysian Government

Bachelor of Business Administration (R/340/6/0207)

Developed with an aim of creating successful managers, entrepreneurs and business leaders, this 3-year programme brings together the key elements needed for one to succeed in the business world. Its' rigorous curriculum will ensure students gain a deeper understanding of theories in action through business case studies while being given the opportunity to practice in real-life projects. Entry Requirements

  1. Pass STPM/A-level with minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
  2. Pass Foundation/ Matriculation/ Diploma programme in related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
  3. Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysia Government Curriculum endorsed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and approved by Ministry of Education
*English proficiency for foreign students: Candidate should obtain IELTS Band 6.0


Centre For Postgraduate Studies

Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS) promotes excellence amongst postgraduate academic staff and students through responsive teaching, research work and supervision.

The centre coordinates with various faculties of the Asia Metropolitan University for admission, postgraduate examination results' endorsement and appointment of research supervisors and graduation of postgraduates in a manner where quality control regulations are uniformed, procedures are strictly adhered to and high academic standards are maintained. The centre works closely with the Centre for Research and Development (CRD) to facilitate postgraduate representation and engagement with research processes including animal and human ethics in the University.

Master in Business Administration (N/340/7/0230)

MBAs are designed to equip students with comprehensive business education and vital skills to empower students to take their careers and organizations to the next level. This programme creates a platform for MBA students to develop a holistic view of business and broaden the understanding of social, cultural and ethical issues.

The General MBA programme provides learners with a balanced insight into the challenges of managing businesses. The modern-day manager needs to have a broad understanding of the various functions within an organization in order to effectively meet organizational goals and objectives. In addition to this, the rapid expansion of international trade means suppliers; customers and work colleagues are much more likely to work within a multicultural working environment. This in turn, requires a different set of skills to be able to manage both effectively and efficiently.

Entry Requirements:-

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  • A bachelor degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field.
  • Foreign Students' English Language Proficiency: Minimum TOEFL score of 550 or 80 (Internet) or IELTS score of Band 6.0.

Master in Business Administration [Corporate Management] (N/345/7/0881)

This programme addresses the personal process in organizations, from recruitment and selection to promotion, transfers and departures. Working in an increasingly competitive market, executives have been required to develop a strategic vision on the most adverse situations, and to use the more updated methods to approach these facts. Through practical work and extracurricular activities applied in MBA Corporate Management, executives have the necessary elements to fit this new reality.

Master in Business Administration [Human Resource Management] (N/345/7/0880)

Master in Business Administration (Human Resources Management) programmes are ideal for students wishing to enhance their business acumen and interpersonal skills for advancing in the HR field. Human Resource Management (HRM) is a unique business niche that focuses on developing an organization's most valuable asset - its personnel.

Entry Requirements:-

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate;OR
  • A bachelor degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field.

Doctor of Business Administration (N/340/8/0247)

The highest postgraduate degree in the academic management education that contribute to business theories and further enhance the professional practice. The Doctor of Business Administration is aimed at advancing leadership in the field of business administration. The programme primarily focuses on theories and methodologies related to research and practice, comprehensive study, processes as well as the best practices in business management. Students of this programme will develop business acuity and at the same time, enhance their overall management capabilities

Entry Requirements:-

  • A master's degree accepted by the HEP Senate;OR
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a master's degree that are accepted by the HEP Senate.
Note:
  1. No direct entry from bachelors degree level to doctoral degree level.
  2. Candidates with bachelors degree who are registered for master's degree programmes may apply to convert their candidacy to the doctoral degree programmes within ONE (1) year after master's degree registration, subject to:
    • having shown competency and capability in conducting research at doctoral degree level
    • rigorous internal evaluation by the HEP approval by the HEP Senate.

PhD in Management (N/345/8/0324)

Equipping industry practitioners with advanced knowledge and expertise in management research and practices. The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management is designed to allow candidates to gain knowledge and skills necessary to function at highest academic and professional levels. The objectives of the programme are to produce graduates who are able to apply systematic comprehension, knowledge and skills in the field of management. Graduates of this programme will also be able to express ideas and opinions critically and effectively via writing and oral presentations as well as identify new approaches in providing management based research findings. The learning outcomes are structured to address important aspects that cover practical knowledge and skills, social skills, communication, leadership and team work, information management, lifelong learning, managerial and entrepreneurial skills.

Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology (R/145/7/0012)

Discover a combination of theories and practical approach to create a wholesome learning experience. Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology is a program to help develop the ability to apply and utilize a range of teaching approaches that will enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning, both in the theoretical and practical aspects. Its uniqueness, in comparison to other similar programs, is the fact that it is tailored to suit the requirement of all types of academic proficiency. This program is classified as MQF (Malaysian Qualification Framework) level 7 where by its competency is equivalent of Masters level.

Entry Requirements:-

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in related field, as accepted by the Senate of AMU; OR
  • A bachelor degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in related field/ teaching.

Edu Assist Foundation Malaysia had entered into an agreement to design, develop, and operate the center for T.V.E.T and Community Developmet in collaboration with Asia Metropolitan University, Malaysia.

    • Collaboration with NGO's for specific human capital development programs
